God Will Work With You But Not For You: A Living Philosophy (1955) by Lao Russell is a timeless exploration of humanity’s most pressing questions: Who am I? What am I? Why am I here?
While humankind has mastered the seas, the skies, and even the forces of the universe, it has yet to fully discover its own true nature. Lao Russell confronts this mystery of “man the unknown” with a call to inner awakening: we are meant to transform the world by renewing the mind of humanity, a renewal born of realizing our eternal unity with the Creator, with one another, and with all of nature.
The book’s central message is clear: God does not act for us, but always with us. Real progress, whether spiritual or practical, requires personal responsibility and effort, guided by the laws of balance that sustain creation. Knowledge is not acquired by the senses but through deep inner meditation, where the Silent Voice of God becomes known.
This work is not written for casual reading but as a guide for those ready to engage in the discipline of inner thought and spiritual action. Its pages challenge readers to embrace self-mastery, joy in work, and creative partnership with the divine as the true path to health, harmony, and fulfillment.

I took my first home study course back in the 1980;s. Still very appropriate today. Thanks for keeping the Russell teachings alive . This review covers the 3 books mentioned and more
My doing is with God now. This book brought me closer to God.
Great book. Quite literally life changing.
Great book that reminds me of the time-honored teachings found in ancient wisdom sources.
This book is a fantastic introduction to the works of Dr Russell, Lao Russell and the University of Science and Philosophy. Some of the deeper books and material can be challenging to absorb for a new inquiring mind. Laos book was so inspiring that I purchased the Home Study Course and have no reservations what so ever about doing so. What an exciting time to be alive! The work of the USP brings me so much hope and joy about the future of mankind. Thank you to all who work to keep this material alive and available!
